This is my 25th year as a middle school teacher, my 21st in Collierville. I am teaching 7th grade math and language arts. I was a part of Shelby County Schools since kindergarten. I attended Dogwood Elementary (K-8) and Germantown High School (9-12). I graduated from Ole Miss with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I received my master’s degree in Educational Psychology and Research from the University of Memphis, along with additional graduate hours (+30).
Before and after school I stay busy with my three daughters, Emersyn (16- 11th grade at Houston High), Easyn (14 1/2-9th grade at Houston High), and Ellasyn (12 1/2- 7th grade at Houston Middle). I love the Ole Miss Rebels (no matter what kind of season they are having). Going to Oxford for the Ole Miss football games is one of my favorite things to do in the fall (still holding out hope for SEC football) I love sports of all kinds....ESPN is one of my favorite channels. I spend the little bit of spare time that I have running (when I am not "running" my girls around town). I have run 20+ half marathons and 7 full (26.2 miles) marathons.
