Coach C - Hopscotch Challenge

Coach C, on his daily walk found a Hopscotch Pattern (180 squares) in the middle of the street. - How many squares can you make? - How creative can you get with your pattern? - Create a variety of Rules for performing your pattern? March 9 - March 13, 2020

This week, students will continue participating and challenged, in general fitness through participation in our warm-ups, stretching and strength exercises - exercising to music. In addition, cardiovascular fitness will begin to gradually increase over the several weeks.
 
Plus, students will continue our Volleyball Unit. Students will begin Game Play; plus, reviewing, basic rules and strategies. 
 
PLUS, students will continue receiving instruction, POLAR HRM, in benefits of incorporating heart rate monitors, in the daily challenge of trying to become and maintain students fitness.

March 2 - March 6, 2020

This week, students will continue participating and challenged, in general fitness through participation in our warm-ups, stretching and strength exercises - exercising to music. In addition, cardiovascular fitness will begin to gradually increase over the several weeks.
 
Plus, students will continue our Volleyball Unit. Students will be introduced to basic skills: Underhand Serve, Ready Position, Bump Pass, and Set Pass; plus, introduction of basic rules and strategies. 
 
In addition, this week, students will take our written Volleyball Test.
 
PLUS, students will continue receiving instruction, POLAR HRM, in benefits of incorporating heart rate monitors, in the daily challenge of trying to become and maintain students fitness.

February 24 - February 28, 2020

This week, students will continue participating and challenged, in general fitness through participation in our warm-ups, stretching and strength exercises - exercising to music. In addition, cardiovascular fitness will begin to gradually increase over the several weeks.
 
Plus, students will begin our Volleyball Unit. Students will be introduced to basic skills: Underhand Serve, Ready Position, Bump Pass, and Set Pass; plus, introduction of basic rules and strategies. 
 
In addition, this week, students are instructed to get on Schoology and study for our Volleyball Test, next week.
 
PLUS, students will continue receiving instruction, POLAR HRM, in benefits of incorporating heart rate monitors, in the daily challenge of trying to become and maintain students fitness.

February 17 - February 21, 2020

This week, students will continue participating and challenged, in general fitness through participation in our warm-ups, stretching and strength exercises - exercising to music. In addition, cardiovascular fitness will begin to gradually increase over the several weeks.

In addition, students will participate in monthly Pacer Run and graphing results.
 
PLUS, students will continue receiving instruction, POLAR HRM, in benefits of incorporating heart rate monitors, in the daily challenge of trying to become and maintain students fitness.

February 3 - February 7, 2020

This week, students will continue participating and challenged, in general fitness through participation in our warm-ups, stretching and strength exercises - exercising to music. In addition, cardiovascular fitness will begin to gradually increase over the several weeks.
 
Plus, students will continue Basketball. Students will be introduced to basic skills: Ball handling skills, Triple-Threat Position, Jump Stop, Dribbling, Passing and Shooting, during side games and game-play; plus, introduction of basic rules and strategies. TEST was cancelled due to illness and school closure.
 
In addition, students will participate in monthly Pacer Run and graphing results.
 
PLUS, students will continue receiving instruction, POLAR HRM, in benefits of incorporating heart rate monitors, in the daily challenge of trying to become and maintain students fitness.

January 27 - January 31, 2020

This week, students will continue participating and challenged, in general fitness through participation in our warm-ups, stretching and strength exercises - exercising to music. In addition, cardiovascular fitness will begin to gradually increase over the several weeks.
 
Plus, students will continue Basketball. Students will be introduced to basic skills: Ball handling skills, Triple-Threat Position, Jump Stop, Dribbling, Passing and Shooting; plus, introduction of basic rules and strategies. In Addition, students that have 3-Day and/or 5-Day PE, will be given Study Guides on Schoology for their Written Test, next week.
 
PLUS, students will continue receiving instruction, POLAR HRM, in benefits of incorporating heart rate monitors, in the daily challenge of trying to become and maintain students fitness.

January 21 - January 24, 2020

This week, students will continue participating and challenged, in general fitness through participation in our warm-ups, stretching and strength exercises - exercising to music. In addition, cardiovascular fitness will begin to gradually increase over the several weeks.
