Students and Parents:

I am putting together this FAQ/info email due to several emails I have been getting addressing the same issues. I hope this helps.

*I have to be absent on my In-School day(s). What work do I do?

Always follow the Weekly Learning Plan for the week/day(s) you are absent. These plans are updated each Friday for the upcoming week

*I didn’t do well on a quiz. Can I have a retake?

As discussed in class, when you take an assessment in SAVVAS, the program assigns you Additional Practice for that skill if you fall below passing.  I use these assignments for grade recovery of assessments. NO need to email me and tell me you did it. I can see that in the program.

* I did my Additional Practice. why hasn’t my grade changed in Power School?

It may take me a few days to get all grades updated. Teaching and grading two different groups of students with different due dates is challenging. I am working as fast as I can to get all grades in Power School and then updated again if there is grade recovery. If it has been longer than a week, feel free to email me and ask.

*I need extra help. What do I do?

Please make sure you are following the weekly learning plan. Many students are NOT doing the Practice assignments before attempting the quizzes. If you have done everything on the plan (Including working the problems in the workbook and checking the answers in Schoology), email me for tutoring. I generally have tutoring on Friday afternoons in TEAMS as a small group or individually.
