Course Description
In 7th grade social studies students, students will explore the vast empires and regions of our world including China, Japan, Arabia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Students will learn vocabulary, analyze maps, and use higher level thinking skills to gain a better understanding of the history of our world.

This week in social studies students will be taking the Case 21 social studies benchmark exam while in class. No preparation is needed. Remote work is in Schoology.

JAPAN WEEK 2
This week, students will be learning about Japan. There are no longer two remote schedules for group A and group B. All students will open the folder in Schoology called Japan (Sep 21-25) and complete the everything in the Monday folder on Monday whether they are at home or in school. This is a change from the previous weeks. Email me if you have any concerns.
Weekly Learning Plan - September 14-18
JAPAN WEEK 1 / EASY CBM
This week, students will be taking the EASY CBM screening exam in social studies classes. This exam does not require any preparation. There is only one remote lesson for students this week. Students will read the Japan chapter in Schoology for the remote activity.
