All About Band

The 6th grade band meets in two classes. The brass class contains the trumpets, French horns, trombones, baritones, and tubas. The woodwind/percussion class contains the flutes, oboes, clarinets, saxophones, bassoons, and percussionist.

 

Both classes will use the method book Habits of a Successful Beginning Band Musician, but will also receive supplement material throughout the year. All books and supplemental materials are covered by the WCMS Band Fee.

 

 

 

The 7th and 8th grade band classes will each meet as a full band this year. The 7th grade band will use Traditions of Excellence Book 2 and Habits of a Successful Middle School Musician. The 8th grade band will use the Habits book, as well as the Sound Innovations Concert Ensemble Development book. Both classes will also be given supplemental material throughout the school year. All books and supplemental materials are covered by the WCMS Band Fee.
