Weekly Agenda: November 4 - 8, 2019

Monday: Thesis Not Hard! Students will craft a 3-part argumentative essay thesis using the skills learned during "Thesis Not Hard!"- thesis statement = classwork grade
Tuesday: Philosophical Chairs: students will debate using cited evidence from a variety of sources to support their claim. Were the events in "The Raven" real (literal) or an imagined (figurative) event created by Poe? 
Wednesday: Conclude philosophical chairs, record cited evidence for each side on chart paper to provide support for the student's essays, begin writing the 1st body paragraph. 
Thursday: Write 2nd and 3rd body paragraphs using the class collection of evidence to support claims, and counter claims
Friday: Write a final draft: thesis, body paragraphs of argumentative essay that demonstrate a clear understanding of claim, counterclaim, and using good supporting evidence to support the details. Submit for a test grade.
