I attempted to correct it in iMovie but I'm not sure how to upload it here again. So I figured it would be better to upload it imperfectly than not upload at all. I am not always tech savvy but I hope you enjoyed the concert.

history teacher some of you guys seen me before some of you maybe have not seen me without a mask on or I've never met me which is very crazy to think about it is 6:50 7 and see I'm going to see if I can still record this meeting host could you give me permission to marry the meeting and maybe maybe I need you to try to transfer that file to me that way I can upload it for the parents that aren't very he already recording okay thank you Trina do you have a question Qatar hate you got your hand up not sure if you have a question or not okay if you come up can you can you can go ahead and ask I'm going to start right on time because he's very punctual so parents doing only way they can Lincoln Larry Christy do you have a question check out our chat who's kind alright Christy and she and I'm not sure if you know but you've got your hands up so anyting just make sure you ask 15 time all right so then I have really enjoyed I've really enjoyed filing the videos for all of all of the different classes and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you when you guys and it's it's been in it's fun to come for me see their progress each each month as they go I knew you either. At home so you can hear in the background the puppy who is locked in his kennel because he just issue so it's super exciting time of all household I think you also hear my two kids come and start getting their bath I make no promises that there has to be loud and annoying I have no idea the Wi-Fi upstairs is not as good as the Wi-Fi down here it just but central location an official welcome to everyone I sure hope my puppy comes down promise he is totally fine and safe do you hear I'm just whining in the background he is one and he can hear me talking and he does not know why he has to be in his kennel so welcome to our virtual orca are concerts we I'm going to talk I'm going to let my booster present Treasurer my booster Treasurer talked a little bit about the function of our booster club and we're going to make kind of a bully for you guys to consider joining on our board next year I'm really hoping that we will see some normalcy on with what we are able to with Niger this has been a very skeleton years very interesting for me no concerts no field trips bare-bones just practicing in class so next year I've already reservations in to take my 7th and 8th graders for next year on to Dollywood I really hope that that can become a reality that you know we just will see how all of this comes taking it out on time by time I have a. My rosters for next year and you guys so many of you are coming back and some money to my CD a students are coming back and it's really exciting I'm going to go ahead and head over to Maggie Meyers my booster Treasurer to talk about talk about the board for next year and I'm going to disappear and put my puppy outside suit do not have to hear him pretend like she is being tortured I promise you he is not so thank you Maggie thank you hi what she said my name's Maggie Meyers I have a sixth grader how to reset in the string program this year and I've been serving as the treasurer of our booster club this year I previously served on the board for for the booster club for West Holly Ava land Farms middle school for three years earlier in the as I will refer to it to be four times before covid and had a wonderful experience in this program with my older daughter and so I'm really excited and hopeful that would things turning around with vaccinations and covid rates going down that we might be able to approach something closer to normalcy next year and all the other exciting things that you get to do an orchestra outside of the classroom and so with that and realize that a lot of you for sixth graders have not got to hear about our booster club and and this may very well be the very first booster club you've been involved with the school if you aren't already doing sports so are the club has two main functions one of the functions of the one that a lot of people automatically think of when you think of booster clubs and yes it is fundraising because as you already know with Orchestra it cuz you were already repurchase or renting very expensive delicate instruments need some money to keep all this going and so a lot of the fundraising that we've been able to do in the past on a big chunk of that has gone towards stuff instruction that's where mrs. Hall brings in some some instructors who come in here because she's trying to teach for in four different instruments to our kids he brings these people in so that they can get a specialized lesson Chesterbrook just tell us the steel is this year I think we were only able to do it for hopefully we can bring back the old as and bases on next year but we've also provided funding for a lot of classroom supplies and what man sings like tuners rosin you know when we moved into the building at westhall Irving Middle School we bought a lot of things to fit that larger classroom we also have funded a lot of instrument repairs and purchases in the past as you guess there's their school instruments you take a bit of a beating sometimes and get worn out over time and so we've been involved in being able to fund the purchase of those with also helps purchase the music that they play and then also we've been to provide some Ford Mrs Hall's professional development when we working in tandem with the Pflugerville middle school booster club we all do we also work closely with two if I can function that are booster club probably more specifically the board members provide is we kind of her room parents to the streams program of used to thinking of it that way in elementary school will do things like provide no treats for the stew Master concert you help support the concert anything we need for setup and decoration things like that things like when we do the group order of Khan retire that that usually happens in the fall if we need to secure you know transient reserving buses and for field trips and competition and then if we are able to do a spring trip there's usually a lot of administer money coming in and people to pay related to that and so are also involved in that to us as parents and guardians of students that are in the Strings program so you are automatically members of the club no application or dues required in a typical Year we will have three General membership meeting and it usually already happens in tandem with activities that are already happening today at the September and January. GameStop that usually happen and then during the day concert which is why I'm here talking to you now which means you are now in your official first booster club meeting and so I'm going to give you my treasury report for here this year we began the year with about $3,260 in our treasury as you probably know we had no fundraisers and we collected no nukes and one thing I will mention about dude is that while our bylaws do you allow us to assess we have yet to do so ever since few years ago Collierville schools separated the 50 you pages of school from any booster dude at that time we decided we wanted to just rely on fundraising to keep organization going and we're hoping to keep doing that but as you probably guessed you all will have a role in order for that to happen so we did spend some money this year we spent a little under $2,000 and I'm the biggest chunk of that about $1,700 at Winn towards supplemental instruction for cello we also surprisingly a big portion of expenses is $250 was someone cash their check late from getting spring trip refunded from last year and then we spent a little bit on classroom treats so we're currently sitting on about $1,300 but just kind of low for us and obviously will not even put us in a position to be able to pay supplemental instruction at the beginning of this year which probably will be very important next year and we need people to help us to do that go under normal circumstances at the spring meeting we would be bowed a slate of officers that would then be the people who would be on the board for the following year we are not currently in a position to do that because I don't know many of you in order to ask you to do so there are nine positions on our board as defined in our bylaws and not going to go into detail right now one of them but I have requested that missed call Senda an e-mail sometime after this meeting has links to our bylaws just so you can see her they're pretty boring just the structure that we follow and then I also have another document that has position descriptions and has the application if you're interested in serving on the board and so you can see what our needs are I'm having to stay there are these two about this myself and then another parent Rebecca Coleman where we have been involved in Middle School orchestra and maybe four times and so we know what it's like and what it can be and so she's agreed to come back on the porch so we would love to have some more if you join us and so once you gotten a chance to review the information in this is house in if you are interested in serving it would be great if you could send an email to the email address right now but it's going to be you know what store are Booster Gold booster club Gmail account if you could send something to us before the last day of school before it becomes a memory on which of course is May 26th have an idea of where we can get a handful of people I mean if we actually filled all nine rules I don't think it ever happened in the year I was on board but if we get a handful of people to really help us get started and organized we can make me you know just a few times this summer figure out what are skills what is availability in our interest to figure out what role might be best for us and then we can hit the ground running in the fall with we can introduce our officers the first meeting and man hopefully even if that we can get started earning some money so I thank you for your time and attention and enjoy the rest of the program thank you so much and that was actually the perfect amount of time for me to put my dog out find my kids knock down we're going to start tonight's program with our sixth grade performance what done with each of the classes is I've taken a snippet of each of the song just like Senators do of each song that they've done since Christmas which is what I had recording because before that if you remember it was like weird hybrid two days a week kind of a mess anyway so I have starting in December I have Snippets of recordings and then for each of the grade levels we have some solos and I'm just a little thing about solos I there are few students that I volunteered to do it but most of them were ones that I wanted to present their solo to this this concert if the students did not feel the comfortable they were not required to put their solo so I didn't strong-arm any students if your student chose not to do a solo it was not because I I wouldn't let them it was more of their personal to share because not every student will futurist so that any student who wanted to do a solo is doing a solo for you guys and then they'll the final song is going to be what we've recorded either today or yesterday the snapshot of what we're doing right now then I have a few awards that I'm going to talk about there's two official Awards the first one is best practice very upset and worried that goes to a student who I can see beyond a shadow of a doubt where is very very very hard knot doesn't mean that Noah behind the day they're winning this best practicer were done they they just exhibited that they're they're really really practicing the other one is a leadership of word yeah I just left the cultivators sew-ins student is able to volunteer or maybe their leader was intersection or they're there always someone who is very helpful so I'm going to give those students best practice or a readership I'm going to give them an official certificate for them to go then I was thinking there so few students this year because of how we have to do it just in saying that I've kind of come up with the words for every child on food kind of give them a nod shout out on something that I celebrate about their personality that demonstrated during class some of them are our kind of funny and some of them are very sweet that was those are not going to get it for sure I'm certificates just kind of a special nod at our concert for you guys so I'm going to go ahead and screen share our sixth grade performance you make sure I'm so good at this you're so good at this she says kind of facetiously right now make sure it again screen share I want bright eyes I know you can tell December to May the complexity of the music and their overall intonation and their Dynamics I really brag on them to some of the other grades because they do such a great job of being expressive in trying really but there's an email I sent it okay so without further adieu with my words for this class my I have a tie for my two best practices and I'm going to give it to Brennan and Benny cash they work so hard I know they do they really really practice a whole lot and I know that they do you heard it there are making great strides but Brandon and Danny both when my best practice are award and my leadership award is going to go to Teresa she she's constantly I'm giving her like random challenging parts or no just kidding with that for my other words I got two awards that I'm going to call my early bird awards are going to students you always turn to Simonson on time which I find lovable and that goes to Kate and Mary they always turn their stuff in the time some of you know if you've ever had to her in your students to get their things turned in I'm going to give techwiz to two of my kiddos kiddos Joanna and dish out on because they helped me make text videos where I actually had to record myself and you should see them behind the scenes there was five me up they were telling me what I needed to do and gosh that was very very very helpful my jukebox the word is go to Walker Walker can play just about anything he has heard by ear on he memorizes almost all this music and it's a really cool quality I'm Charlotte is going to you this morning person Swiss chocolate is always just I'm in a in a good mood she just has a Swedish mile Jada I'm giving you a scribe award for the most reliable note-taker she has a music prepare the way. can you get to end and I just I love that Korean honey you are getting the Eagle Award you always watch I wish everybody would watch half as much as she does she's just got her eye in the conductor and what a wonderful thing that is Alexa is getting my Survivor word man she's gone through a lot of stuff I'm not going in to survive 6th grade and I commend her for that Alex Alex my all his mask almost everyday features a smile whether it's a smile on the outside or not if there was a smile on the inside and what a wonderful attitude so sixth grade you guys I'm just so darn proud of you you has made such great progress I'm looking forward to next year in the year after getting to take where you are and you really continue to grow my seventh grade students and they have me first thing in the morning bless their heart one of us the quietest classes I've ever where they finally towards the end of the year the opening up it was like their CV a comrades were the all of the talkers and so we had we had some hybrid is rice think it was like a one-man show I was trying to be as entertaining as possible for these kiddos and and gosh they've grown so much so if you think about back to their 6th grade year and they ended their instruction in 6th grade and if you were watching that video you seems the progress that the current sixth grade is made from March until May it's just a whole lot of progress and so we had some catching up to do when they became 7th graders I'm trying to figure out how to bridge that Gap from what they had learned getting everybody back into the habit and the swing of school and I'm just the sweetest class I'm going to share the video and then I will share their Awards right I know you can tell Muncie that huge group from December until I think I'm going to stick and maybe Friday okay so for my Awards we have the three by the two official leadership in the best practice start I'm getting into leaderships in this class one to Soraya and 1/2 Joe Soraya has a leader within her Section she's a very loud and confident player and always either tap to help whether it's musically or a different task that needs delegating Joe as often picked to be the only one in his Parts on and that is a very daunting task and he just he does it so gracefully and I just find that very very admirable my best practices going to go see Kathleen Kathleen I know you worked your tail off most of the kids practice some of them more than others and Kathleen has one of those sheep episodes of going to mount my other words Halligan I'm giving you the most relaxed and natural boholt award on I would love to see everybody with the and flexibility and relaxation that she shows in herbo it is awesome brick is fastest fingers in the west and she definitely likes to play with speed and she does it so well so that is super fun and Preston is getting the jeep box at work resting completed but anything he wants from here it's it's an impeccable quality rookie of the year goes to William William started Orchestra for the very very first time mid-year not even at the beginning of the year didn't have me last year and I'm just got thrown into it and I'm he he has done a remarkable job I'm trying to catch up Joy is getting the Survivor award will you switch from salad to the Ola which is just a whole new world and then covid head and so did technique that is involved in that is just really hard on those done just a wonderful job Carlos is getting an early bird award he's assigned Boys on time and is it go right when class starts don't have to wait on Carlos to get ready and Gavin is going to be my techwiz unava he doesn't talk to to me a whole lot to the beginning of the year and just more recently has his real got into his stride with with some of his friends in the class which is wonderful I like it when they start to feel like family are final part of the concert is going to be my HP it's always better sweet I hate to see them go by the time they're With Me 3 years I just adore them so I'm just going to last concert and it's at the virtual concert Baytown I'm going to go ahead and play for you that 8th grade portion of our of our Patrol concert so I'm watching this and I have this pit in my stomach because I just realized I left off a solo from this class and I'm so sorry it was the last a little recorded on a different day in so Andrew a thousand apologies it was unintended and it is on my iPad not on my computer I'm so when I upload to to my website I'll make sure to include the video the way it was intended with Andrew solo I know my God this is day I knew I was going to do that to one person so apologize to you on our own words and then I will let you know about your evening we have the practice are in our leadership in this class I'm giving best practices to Carlos and Jay they they have really improved so much this year and it's not the most improved to where it is really just like a I can tell the day they work hard and Sundays made great strides so congratulations you guys can leaders to the war this is not really a sip this hopefully to the class that is going to go to Hillary Hillary is just solid man if I could clone her I would have a thousand Hillary's Hillary she doesn't put up with nonsense and she is so level-headed and mature Beyond her years but she was held to just shows great leadership and I commend you for that my my for funsies of War I'm going to give my a bookworm award to Connor Connor is quite the attitude and often tries to sneak in reading and other parts and he's not my only student that loves to read that much but share that love with you Connor enjoy reading to Lena I had a different one for you and then I just changed it I'm giving her the visiting our award she has the funniest singers and she keeps the year and she keeps the kids on their toes with her comments and it it's it's pretty funny she makes me laugh I'm Taylor you're getting the OfficeMax a word Taylor always has stuff for other people are missing something like their papers or fence whatever she is she's constantly not just ready for herself but ready to help Andrew you're getting my short a little word I forgot you're so low and I apologize but it keeps me on my toes and he he definitely makes me laugh Tanya and the section leader Lord she at just goes wherever I need to do just does it so gracefully and I just appreciate that I'm with ever whatever section need she needs to be she she signs Kate outstanding organs are some of your words that can give you cake outstanding organizer and I just always think you got stuff together and that everybody does to that's Avon give me the Michelangelo word she is our artist-in-residence and and helped us create a big poster for mr. Heineken do I know you guys saw thing in parts and clay take turns doing that and everything but that's definitely quite pissed Benji's Rookie of the Year Steve's first year of Orchestra this year with me and Dad we went from from feeling really struggling just has a mouse and time is is so confident with this playing and it is just been a joy to watch you grow and finally Isaiah gets my repeat offender a word which sounds worse than is it means is that the most siblings in Orchestra so it's it's the shenanigans with how his siblings are doing I'm that he definitely has been there 8th graders it is just been a pleasure to work with you this year I know I'll see you again in class and I'll be all lovey-dovey on you to do list knowing that they're getting older they're going to high school and I'm going to miss him so out for their do we have concluded our virtual concerts and give her thank you everyone who came out of their evening to join us my my hope that next year we can do it in person you guys can see I see the growth from 6th grade to 8th grade A that they show they've been working so hard and I am proud of them and I appreciate all of your parents.
